There are many aspects of my marching band arrangements that will make them the right choice for your marching band.

Talent Level Appropriateness
Even if you have the best sounding arrangements it is all for nothing if your band can not play them. All factors including pitch ranges, dynamic spectrums, tempo ranges, voicings, textures, harmonic language, density, and other factors must be appropriate for your band. These can be a deciding factor on the success of your season. Before I start to write a single note for your band I will make sure I know as much about them as I can. Communication is essential between myself and the band director and the forms that I have for the band director to fill out help save a lot of time, and backtracking. These forms allow me to get to know the ranges and technique of every section in your band.

What has been especially helpful in my communications, with many of the band directors whom do not live in the same area as myself, has been the addition of a personalized (password-protected as well) page on my website for each band. This enhances the development process in that it allows myself to be able to post mp3s on the webpage for the director to hear. If I have a piece that I think would make a great closer, for instance, I can post it on the page and within minutes the director can take a listen (as opposed to waiting for a cd in the mail).

Creative and Captivating Show Designs
I not only take into account the wind arrangements when arranging but also the percussion and visual design, turning each show into a unique and integrated process. My aim is to keep the feel of the original as it transfers to the field but there are many things that sometimes need to be changed due to the added visual portrayal and musical form/time considerations, among other things. I also keep in mind the pacing of the show so the overall experience for the audience is always at an optimum level.

Professional Looking Scores and Parts
The look of the scores and parts are important to me as well as it helps eliminates any questions of notation thus saving time in rehearsal and practice. Rehearsal letters help with the pace of rehearsal as well. With all scores and parts, there is an attention to detail with the dynamic, tempo, articulation, rehearsal letters, cautionary accidentals, and style markings. On-time Delivery
Staying on schedule during band camp is extremely important. That is why you will always get your marching band arrangements on time when you specify to receive them by. By having your wind arrangements on time your color guard, percussion, and drill designers can stay on schedule with the rest of the creative process (allowing more time for them to think creatively and give the students a much better product).

Percussion and Drill Considerations
While this will not be a total design of these important elements these considerations will help out the design of both. Suggestions are given off of what I have done with the wind arrangements. Also, I am available to discuss with the percussion arranger and drill writer anything that they would like to see and/or hear in the show. Count structure and special sectional features will be taken into consideration when designing the wind parts.

Your marching band music purchase includes: 1 set of scores, 1 set of parts (scores and parts given to you on CD-R as PDFs), MIDI version of show, Articulation Description Sheet.
